In the hands of Nicolas Ghesquière, the designer who has been at the creative helm of the label since 1997, … AW 2013 collection today. “We imagined this Balenciaga Inc. company and then we started to identify the functions the staff have and the clothes they would wear - the space-age sweatshirt girls were the spies infiltrating the company,” he said backstage after the show, which took place at Balenciaga HQ in a square spot-lit room to further emphasise this space age and techno quality.
